Where can I donate?
Here we list the various projects across the continent (that we know of) that contribute to the elimination of rabies. If you know of any project that you think should be listed, please let us know here.
Community Health Coalition
That's us. It's as easy as pressing on the button in the top right corner. We aim to get as much money from donations to the ground and the cause as possible.
The main investments will be:
1. Purchasing vaccines, syringes, vaccine certificates and other supplies that are needed for a vaccination drive.
2. Transportation of equipment for vaccination campaigns as well as transportation of equipment that will help local clinics improve the options they can provide to their patients.
3. Administration in the countries where we will operate, namely Malawi and Zambia. Import costs, per diem payments to people that help us with campaigns and transport within the country.
All Creatures runs out of two clinics, one in the Capital city of Lilongwe and one in the Northern City of Mzuzu. Information on their rabies campaign efforts can be found here.
Located in Lilongwe, the LSPCA provides vital services to the local community, as well as caring for orphaned animals in the area. They are also invested in the elimination of rabies and donations can be made here.
Education is key in the elimination of rabies. Simple knowledge about exposure, either dog to human or dog to dog bites, can help keep the virus under control. This is largely done in the classroom. More about what they do can be found here.
Donations can also be done via Generosity in Action / Philanthropic Ventures Foundation and the link to donate is here. Select Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust from the list at the bottom of the page.
